This track is an Homage to the magnificent Jerry Douglas who composed this beautiful intrumental song.
Route Irish is originally discribes the street of an airport that runs through Bagdad to the green zone. Supposidly safe place, but it was the most mined road in Iraq, untill some folks figured out a way to jam the signal of cell phones and stop the bombs from going off. so Jerry wrote this song for the American troops in Iraq.
Roee Lavan was diagnosed with GBM (agressive brain cancer) and went through a rough road of surgery and treatments, but at the end this disease is uncurable and deadly. When Roee heard this track he saw his situation is relevant to this lovely song and decided that he will try to play a cover version of it as a therapy with music.
this track has helped Roee regain his ability to play music.
